I was a bit skeptical when I ordered these boots. I was not sure if the square toe look was for me. I had 'buyers remorse' before they arrived. However, once they did and I tried them on with a pair of bootcut jeans--I was thrilled. The square toe thing is in vogue right now--I stopped by a local Boot Barn and noticed a lot of shoppers were wearing them. If you ever watch the old Clint Eastwood 'Spaghetti Westerns' you'll note, even back in the day--square toe western boots were hip. Clint is wearing a pair very similar to these.
These boots boast outstanding quality--Ariat has become a well known name in Western boots, belts, and equestrian wear.
They're well made, high quality, did not need breaking in, and look cool. I wore them for over 8 hours a few times the first week I bought them and no worries--no blisters, aches, or sore feet. The technology is awesome--I've been wearing cowboy boots forever, and the soles on Ariat boots are the greatest. Traditional leather soles are fine--nevertheless, not nearly as nice as the high tech soles these boots feature. This is my second pair of Ariat boots, I also own a few belts, and I can honestly say--there are none finer. Good solid construction, leather lining, quality materials, and up to date styles. The high tech materials cannot be ignored, Check out a pair of Ariat boots for yourself. The bottom line is comfort. It would not matter one bit how great these boots looked if they weren't comfortable--these are as good as wearing a broken in pair of walking shoes or comfort shoes. I whole heartedly recommend them.
If you've never slipped into a pair of square toe western boots--give them a try--the price is right and its fun to be hip (in style). Again, the square toe look in Cowboy boots is nothing new; like the old timers say: "What's old is new!"

Boots are typically not comfortable.
This on the other hand, are cushion inside and they actually fit to form.
I had mine for about three months now, and I am very satisfied with them.
I had tried wearing boots, however, most of them end up being too hard on my feet.
This boots are very nice, comfortable, true to size, and they look nice.
Very casual.

I ordered these boots as a replacement for the Ariat Ramblers I purchased two years ago and subsequently wore the snot out of. I choose these primarily because appearance wise, they fit equally well with jeans as with a pair of slacks and button up shirt. This is important to me, because as the owner of a small business (a fire sprinkler company) and as a professor at a university, that type of versatility is necessary. So far, I have been pleased. When I get them dirty, they clean up well with a bit of saddle soap and neat's foot oil. Due to the high quality of the leather and workmanship, I expect they will continue to please. Ariat does a great job.
